Under the hot Mississippi June sun, the M3 held together for a pair of wins. Sure, turnout was low, but I'll take a win any time.
Saturday Brian gave STU a shot and decided that he couldn't drive on street tires (much like I can't drive on race tires). He switched to BSP for his second set of runs, and would have won had it not been for a cone. Here is that run, a 45.304 plus 2. I ran pretty consistent times with the exception of my fourth run. My sixth (video ) was my fastest by about a tenth: 47.688. Trophy spots for Open Tire were: - Drew Boyles (39.152)
- Brian Whitmire (39.763)
- Charles Haynes (42.602)
- Scott Main (42.704)
Sunday Brian stayed in BSP, but would make only three runs to conserve tires. Just as well; the course seemed to slow down as the temperatures went up in the afternoon. Brian laid down a 47.605 |
